Time for baking and cooking and standing for hours on end in the kitchen creating treats and holiday meals to be enjoyed.

Do you know how hard it is to stand for hours on end? I’ve worked fast food jobs (back in high school) and it is torture on your feet, legs and back to be hovering over a stove or prep table for that long.

The one thing I noticed right off is the packaging. It was delivered in a large flat box.  The “other” mat I have came rolled up when it was delivered to me so I expected the Wellness Mat to be somewhat bunched up in the box, as it was standing on end when I received it.  I was surprised to have it slide ride out of the box and not find bunched corners or ends.

The Wellness Mat holds it’s shape. Flat. I’ve tried rolling it and it won’t stay that way.   My other mat is comfortable to stand on…but it doesn’t really have a lot of give to it.  The Wellness Mat conforms to the shape of my foot and shifting positions, it easily molds to the new spot I’m standing in.  It bounces back to it’s original shape as soon as you shift your weight to a different spot.

I chose a black mat for my kitchen.  I’m kind of wishing I’d chosen a more neutral color, a brown or tan or something because the dirt from my shoes leaves footprints and smudges on the mat.  The Wellness Mat is stain resistant so I don’t worry about the dirt on it.  It wipes clean very easily with a damp cloth.

As you can see the 3×2 mat I received is just a bit wider than my stove.  I could really use one more in my kitchen to have where I stand at the counter island.  My kitchen workspace is kind of U-shaped with a long counter/bar, sink and stove…two of the 3×2 Wellness Mats would be perfect in that space.
