Online Nail Bar – Nail Art Stickers Review

So I have a pretty big obsession with nail polish. I love bright colors and if there is glitter…oh, be still my heart!

That being said, I usually only paint my toenails because it lasts longer. It drives me absolutely batty when my polish on my fingernails chips. I immediately take it off. You will very, very rarely see me with chipped polish on my hands.

But I do like to do my nails on occasion. More recently I’ve been doing them quite a bit because I finally found an affordable nail polish that doesn’t chip 38 seconds after I apply it.

But I’ll tell you about the polish another time. Today I’m going to tell you about the nail art stickers I received to review from Online Nail Bar.

I’ve bought nail art stickers in the past and like how easy they are to apply and how that add a little more pizazz to a regular manicure. They’re easy to use, easy to remove and can make even a simple french manicure look a little more jazzy. Doing them yourself at home is far more affordable than going to a salon and having them apply nail art…or in some cases, actually paint it on.

I received the Orange Blue & White Floral Nail Art Stickers for my review. My current obsession being with the color turquoise I was happy to see that the blue is more of a teal/turquoise color. And an even bigger bonus…they matched my current nail color.

The nail art stickers cost £1.25 GBP (approximately $1.98 USD) and come packaged in a pretty organza bag and gift wrapped. Shipping is available worldwide.

I would say there are about 40 stickers on the sheet I received (I was too lazy to actually count them). The designs were mini flower chains, single flowers, hearts and buds. (as you can see from the photo)

The stickers peeled off easily from the backing but when I tried to apply it I tore it because I pulled it back up because I didn’t have it set exactly where I wanted it. Totally my own fault and not due to the product itself. Then because I’d messed with it so much it didn’t adhere as nicely as it should have. Which I also blame myself AND the polish that I was applying it to. The polish I am wearing has a glitter top coat so the surface is rough. Even with a top coat the polish still has a rough feeling texture. So I’m positive that the sticker not adhering had a lot to do with that.

But…I still made it work. Because that’s how I roll. I applied a top coat over the nail art then pressed down on it with one of those nail stick things (gah! I forget what they’re called…orange sticks?). It took it a few minutes to stay down then I applied a second top coat to seal it in. So it took me a little more work than it should have but like I mentioned, I honestly do not believe it was because of the product itself.

My end result…fabulous, sparkly nails with some cute little flowers on the ring fingers. (I didn’t want to do anymore of the nails as I thought too much nail art + the bold color + the glitter = nail overkill.)

Please ignore my sloppy paint job (okay, it’s really not that bad)…but do ignore the funky bump on my middle finger and please also ignore that my nails aren’t all the same length. I’m human. I also didn’t use a flash in my pics because glitter + camera flash = white out ghost hands.

I didn’t notice until I’d finished my nails that the sticker on my left hand tore and one of the flower petals is missing. Next time I use them I’ll use a smooth polish base and a pair of tweezers to apply them.

But I like them. They’re pretty. They’re sparkly…and I big pink (er, turquoise?) puffy heart sparkly things.
