This is what happens when I get bored. Part Deux

I spy on Autumn on Facebook. It’s not spying if it’s on Facebook though.

This is twice this week I’ve busted her on Facebook. The first time she’d drawn a “tattoo” on her arm and posted a picture. I seen it and posted on the thread to go wash it off.

This time, . . . → Read More: This is what happens when I get bored. Part Deux

Shopping mishaps.

Tuesday night.

Dennis goes bowling and I stay home with the mongrels. Ethan was throwing a royal fit because he wanted to go bowling too (he’s never been bowling) so I tell him if he stays with me then he can take a bath.

This kid loves baths. The bath bribe gets him . . . → Read More: Shopping mishaps.

Aaaahhh! Our ceiling is leaking!

This afternoon Autumn came home from school, went in her room and then yelled out to me “Moooooom! Ethan spilled water on my bed!”. (insert whiny teenage voice)

I went in her room to investigate and sure enough, there was water splashed on her bed. I told her that I was almost certain . . . → Read More: Aaaahhh! Our ceiling is leaking!

Who lives in a pineapple in the produce section at Walmart?

I took Ethan to Walmart this morning. I needed new pet food containers and a few food items.

We were in the produce section and they had fresh pineapples on sale for $2.50.  I don’t know if that’s a good price or not, but we love pineapple so I grabbed one.

My kid is gonna be a rockstar!

Conversations With A 13 Year Old

So Autumn and I have put entirely too much thought in to some really random things. I’ve been telling her that I’m going to blog about our silly conversations and she keeps telling me to do it. So, that’s what I’m doing today. GREMLINS A few nights ago we were talking about Gremlins. . . . → Read More: Conversations With A 13 Year Old

When Mommy’s Sick…

So Dennis went out of town early Sunday morning. By Sunday evening Ethan and I were both running fevers. Monday and Tuesday sucked. We were tired and feverish and cranky. Today I woke up thinking it was Thursday…and was halfway excited that tomorrow Dennis would be home. Then I realized it’s only Wednesday. . . . → Read More: When Mommy’s Sick…

Our New Security System

We finally broke down and invested in one. You just can’t be too safe these days. Our household has been the victim of several (daily) break-ins over the last several months. There’s nothing law enforcement can do for us, so we’ve decided to take matters into our own hands.

Now, now…I see . . . → Read More: Our New Security System

He’s A Daddy’s Boy

And it doesn’t bother me at all.

I actually think it’s kind of cute the way Ethan is with Dennis.

Daddy is his hero, his best friend. He wants Daddy to do everything for him. He wants Daddy to change his diaper, get his juice, open his popsicle, put his shoes on. . . . → Read More: He’s A Daddy’s Boy

Dear Ethan, – Part II

Dear Ethan,

We are not running a nudist colony in the back yard.We do not bathe in the backyard.

Just because I go into the house for 2 minutes does not give you permission to make your own rules…remove your clothing and diaper and bathe in rainwater that has collected on the slide.
